Rittenhouse spans from Market to South streets (north to south) and from Broad Street to the Schuylkill River (east to west) and is home to a vibrant upscale neighborhood filled with high-rise residences, luxury apartments, an office tower, popular restaurants and retail stores surrounding the square.

Shoppers are drawn to Rittenhouse Row – the high-end shopping district –filled with high-end shops, locally owned boutiques, galleries and theaters.

Rittenhouse Square has become widely considered as one of the finest urban public spaces in the United States. The park square is nestled in the middle of Philadelphia’s Center City District, providing an oasis of respite and relaxation amidst the bustling city as well as host to festivals, farmers’ markets, and fairs throughout the year. The neighborhood park is one of the most lovely and peaceful spots in Philadelphia.

Once predominantly a daytime destination, Rittenhouse Square is now a popular nightspot as well, with a string of restaurants — including Rouge, Devon, Parc and Barclay Prime — that have sprouted up along the east side of the park on 18th Street.

Rittenhouse Square is easily accessible with two train stations nearby. Suburban Station and Amtrak’s 30th Street Station are a short walk or cab ride away from any neighborhood point. Septa bus stops are located throughout the neighborhood.
