A licensed real estate professional since 1993, John began his career in commercial real estate as a lender with a publicly traded financial institution in Philadelphia. He served in numerous capacities for over 20 years and went on to become Executive Vice President and member of the bank’s Board of Directors. John developed a specialty in the real estate capital markets, funding numerous multi-family, office, retail, and residential construction projects. He rose to President & CEO of the bank’s newly formed Real Estate Joint Venture subsidiary offering a variety of creative solutions such as preferred & sponsor equity and mezzanine finance.

John continued his real estate practice, eventually forming his own real estate advisory firm. Over the last 15 years, John has been engaged in numerous assignments throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Chicago. Among them:

  • Appointed to oversee full time, a 33-story construction project at 10 Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia serving as Project Executive/Receiver on behalf of its owner, Delaware Valley Real Estate Investment Fund, a union pension fund.
  • Interim President/CEO and Director of four former bank holding companies on behalf of a New York-based hedge fund.
  • Court appointments as Property Manager/Receiver in real estate foreclosure matters.
  • Expert witness testimony in real estate and banking cases before State, Federal and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts.

At MPN, John’s focus is on sales, leasing, and finance of commercial real estate properties in the city and western suburbs.

John has had a life-long passion for community service as a First Responder. He is an active Volunteer Firefighter with Lower Merion Township, Station 23 Bryn Mawr and maintains current Paramedic certification in Pennsylvania. He served as Chief of Narberth Ambulance and has been a member of several non-profit boards. John was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of a newly formed non-profit organization providing financing exclusively to the African American community in Philadelphia.
